Many of the artists participating in the Red Rock Art Festival were bummed out by the overcast, windy day following a rain storm. I hiked below the cliff and found shelter against a small indent. The sun tried to appear all afternoon, which gave me time to finish half the painting. The next day I returned to complete the pattern of light in the cliffs.
